Application of detachable spiral plate heat exchanger
Detachable spiral plate heat exchangers are widely used. In China, spiral plate heat exchangers have been used to replace shell and tube heat exchangers in the conversion heat exchangers and lower heat exchangers of small and medium-sized synthetic ammonia plants. The equipment cost for using spiral plate heat exchangers for electrolyte heaters and concentrated alkali coolers in caustic soda plants is only one-third of that of shell and tube heat exchangers. In addition, this type of heat exchanger has good effects on tower top condensation, quenching oil cooling, fuming sulfuric acid cooling, and fatty acid cooling. This device is effective for condensing steam and convective heat transfer without phase change, and can also be used for boiling heat transfer.
A detachable plate heat exchanger is composed of many stamped corrugated thin plates at certain intervals, sealed by gaskets on all sides, and overlapped and compressed by a frame and a clamping screw. The four corner holes of the plates and gaskets form the distribution and collection pipes for the fluid, while reasonably separating the hot and cold fluids, allowing them to flow in the flow channels on both sides of each plate and exchange heat through the plates.
To achieve the purpose of mechanical cleaning, a detachable spiral channel is used, with one end open and sealed with a flat cover and gasket to prevent fluid leakage into the atmosphere or fluid short circuits within the same channel. In order to improve the pressure bearing capacity of the spiral plate, fixed distance columns are used to support between the plates. There are two types of fluid inlets and outlets on the cylinder: normal and tangential connections.
